Welcome.

Here’s all the tips you will really ever need healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

My advice would be not to worry, get a good sleep, relax before you get out there, and run nice and slowly.

You can do this... enjoy your journey... and please come back and tell us how it’s going often... we are your cheerleaders, and will be here for you when it doesn’t go so well too.

Oh well done for joining C25K

Go slow

There’s a bell sounds at halfway-I usually punch the air at this point!

And congratulate yourself lots when you finish that first run.

Good luck Sparkyee! Just started last week too, did my first Week 2 run today. My tip would be to go running in places you really like- I've been going on paths that I like to walk on (locally obviously given the current situation!) with nice surroundings. Find it really helps to try and look around at that as I run rather than concentrating on the time or how tired I am! As the official tips say as well run slowly (more slowly than you think!)- it's easy to start off too fast and tire yourself out.

Go slow! Snail slow!

It’s endurance over speed!

Slowly does it, wear whatever you feel comfortable in , I found a layer I could take off and tie round my waist if I got too hot helped . First steps to a new fitter you , do it !

Stick on a grin 😎🏃‍♀️ and take it slow. Have fun with the programme. Take care and post how you get on. We'll be looking out for it. 👍

Main tip is to go easy. The run part needs only be a running action marginally faster than walking. Allow your muscles to get used to the new movements.

Second tip is to move on to the next week when ready. Many people repeat a week and wait until more comfortable.

Third tip is to commit to the process. I do Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Always do something and don't give up.

Good luck

All I can say is ; enjoy the 60 seconds of jogging . Your have a few of these . Just enjoy it the same as when you were a kid .

I’m sure you ran and skipped for longer than 60 seconds . Take every jog slow . It’s not a race - do this at your own pace - you will know when the time is right to increase your speed OR not . All the best 🐾
