W7R3 completed but too slow??

Good morning

I've just done W7R3 & am very pleased with myself-never thought I'd be able to run at all, let alone for 25 minutes 😁

My pace this morning was 11'16" & I covered 2.24 miles (3.6 km). My question-is this slow & if it is, does it matter?

Thanks

Well done.

You are too slow for the Olympic squad........but with the Olympics being delayed you have a chance to catch up.

For your general fitness, heart and lung health and longevity you are doing fine.

Slow runners live longer womensrunning.com/culture/s... so why do you need to be faster?

Hi IannodaTruffe

Thanks for that 😊 I suppose I'd like to go a little faster than my walking pace!

I take a dog with me & she doesn't seem to go any quicker or move any differently to when we go for a walk πŸ˜«πŸ˜‚

That's what I thought until i walked my running route last week. I was surprised to see that my run was a good deal faster and i was walking with my husband at a fairly brisk pace! I think I'm roughly the same pace as you - probably lots of us are. Just enjoy the run and progress - you can work on pace after you graduate. See ITs posts on this.

Thanks for that Fionamags. I am loving it πŸ˜„ I will continue to enjoy & hope that after graduation I'll speed up a little.....
