Well, I surprised myself and went for my second run of week 1! It was no easier physically (which I expected), but it was easier in that I knew what to expect.
I am sticking to the guidelines and aiming for 3 runs in the first week, which means 2 days in between to equally space the runs. Is this right please?

Well done for getting going. I think its good to have something to aim at especially at the moment.
Yes I think a lot of people do 3 runs spaced out in a week. I found after a few weeks I was getting a bit of niggles (medical term 😊) in my knee so I had more rest days between runs. I've just finished week 6 and am running every 4 - 5 days which has been OK.
I had a timetable for the 7-day week involving 3 days running interlaced with 3 days strength training and 1 day total rest, but life happens and there were a couple of deviations!
If your body tells you that you need more rest, by all means listen to your body!
Also - be gentle in your early weeks. Attempting a full-on sprint at this stage will make to too tired to complete the session, so slow-and-steady is the way to go!
