I've seen people say to drink water half an hour before and then run on an empty stomach, but is it necessarily a BAD thing to take it on the run?
*this is probably a silly question*

Ideally, you should be hydrated all the time... drinking half an hour before the run probably isn’t helping, though may have a placebo effect. What you drink the day before the run makes much more difference. I have 2 800ml bottles, I make sure they’re both full when I go to bed, and leave them on the side so they’re at room temperature. I then sip from them all day every day... the only time you’ll see me without a water bottle is when I’m running! If I’m going over 10k I’ll have water either with me or available to me on the run... if I’m going shorter I don’t, unless it’s especially hot of course. I get through 3 bottles full on an average day and drink regular drinks alongside them, though not so many as I used to.
Hope this helps.
I drink plenty of water on my non run days and on the day of my run which I try and do in the morning I drink a cup off water then a cup of coffee and banana half hour before before I run I always done this so don’t know if this helps
Happy running
I used to run with a bottle of water but it's just something else to carry. I drink a glass of water when I get up, have a cup of tea and a banana before I go. I found that I could do without for that half hour of running.
You don't need to drink during a thirty minute workout if your hydration is adequate (as explained in the guide to the plan).
If you are going to carry water, then buy a bottle carrier. Holding a bottle in your hand introduces tensions and asymmetries into the body and is not recommended.
