Hi all, I hope you are managing to keep safe whilst these isolation and social distancing measures are in place.

So I never made it out for the run again, and won’t be able to until 12 weeks are up, as like many people I’ve been told I’m high risk and need to stay home along with kids. We’ve managed one week so far and I’m not entirely sure how the boys haven’t come to full on blows.

I’m just glad we have this fantastic platform to keep in touch with the wider world.

Stay safe and happy running (those of you who are able to continue) 😘

With all the sport cancelled, give Sky a call if your boys do look like coming to blows... they’d probably send a couple of cameramen over and have it on pay per view 🤣. I’m sure it’ll settle down when they get used to this strange temporary life. Good to hear that you’re keeping safe... running can wait and it’s going to feel so good when we all get outside again, wether we’ve been on lockdown or not. All of us running on one day would be amazing

While we are obviously wonderful, hopefully you also have a good local volunteer army ready to help you with any supplies you need.

Keep keeping safe, and as active as possible... we have workout of the day and other ideas over on Strength & Flex.

Haha I’m loving the sky pay per view idea 😂

That would be great wouldn’t it - everyone out for a run at the same time.

Yes you are all wonderful that’s for sure, but yes I have a set of good neighbours and some friends that are able to help, I’m just hoping the boys don’t eat me out of house and home lol. Not entirely sure where I stand on lost wages though as I am also classed as a keyworker being a nursery worker, so my work has stayed open. But there’s little point in worrying about it I guess.

I’ll check out Strength & Flex. Some different ideas to walking up and down the living room for 20 minutes sound fantastic lol 😂

Stay safe UnfitNoMore x

Sorry to hear that you are quarantined but it sounds like you are going to keep active no matter what. Good for you! I love UnfitNoMore's plan - we should all go out when this is over and thunder across the lanes and byways - preferably in unison. Wouldn't that be amazing? Well, I won't be thundering anywhere, I tend to go at a gentle patter... Keep safe!

Well done for posting, Bluecat9. If you stay safe and healthy...running can come back in the future. Right now it's you and the boys that are important. Take care. 🌻👍

That sounds really tough, should we send boxing gloves? Have you tried the Joe Wickes daily workouts with your boys? Disclaimer- I haven't actually watched it, but some friends are doing it with their kids. Come on here for a moan, or for a distraction.

Thank you for all your replies. We have had the Joe Wickes workouts on but the boys have yet to take part, more concerned with feeling stupid which surprises me considering they love their footy and are missing PE lesson, but that’s kids for you lol.

Boxing gloves may actually be a good idea grumpyoldgirl 🤔

I’m with you on the slower pace Fionamags, but it really would be great if we all can get out there together.

Thank you Nilsam, all of us in every house keeping safe is the most important thing.

Love to all xxx
