Week 1

Hi all. I have done my second run of week 1 today. It was super hard and I actually did worse than the first time. I live in a really hilly area and they are destroying. I swear I should have lost half my fat after all that effort!!😂🤣 What I want to know is how long does it take to see results and should I stick to week 1 until I can complete it. Thanks

You’re doing great. Hills make it harder for sure... but they burn slightly more calories and they build strength too. The best thing to do is complete each run fully or repeat it... and don’t worry, some of the great inspirational graduates repeated week 1 runs a while, and have gone on to greatness. Slow down as much as you can and just keep crossing that start line. Results come pretty quickly... we all start in a different place, but when fitness goes ahead of the run you’ll feel it. It’ll come... relax and be proud of yourself.

I can't give you advice - but I'm incredibly impressed by anyone who is trying this in a hilly area. I think if it were me, I'd keep plugging on til I'd finished the week, rather than moving on to another week, just because of the way that each week builds on the previous one. Just remember it's not a competition and anything you do is better than nothing. Onward and upward (in your case! - mine is just: keep level - I'm in London, where it's completely flat).

Hello happytanya2, hilly is hard, I have hills in most directions when I set off and back up again to get home. Today I went up very slowly and then found a flat section and just ran back and forth as I was sure going to make it as easy as I possible could for myself. You have to go real slow if you’re going uphill so take your time. You can do this, keep going, keep posting 🤗
