Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Stretching immediately after every run, while muscles are still warm and supple, pulls out contractions, avoiding carrying tensions into the next run and also improves recovery by improving blood flow.
Enjoy your journey.
Not going to give you any advice on top of the plan, but will say stick with it, it does get easier, sometimes quicker than you expect, you will have 'bad' days but these are what strengthens your mind, the mental side of this is more important than the physical. Good luck, stay focused on you goal and don't give up. I was where you are nearly 3 months ago, I am so much fitter and my belly has gone in such a short time.
The first run is the most challenging - your next runs, still challenging, will begin to get easier.
Go slow and steady, save the fast pace for when you graduate.
Your body will soon get used to these new muscles being worked, by week 2 my aches began to fade significantly.
It gets better!!
