I forget to mention, we have a new member of the fam and I have a new workout buddy. He's never going to be a distance runner and he's not a pug, I'm afraid, PP, but he is developing some serious upper body strength and has been a great companion to the convalescing Daisy dog.
Oh and his name is Hiro.

Yes, he is a Frenchie. Although it has been suggested that he is a shark in fur. And at the rate he is growing he may well become a mastiff. He is only 4 months old.
She was a bit dismayed at first and still feigns a sort of maiden aunt disdain at his antics, but whenever she thinks i am not looking she cavorts with him merrily. They snuggle up in a huge bundle of black fur. I think he has given her a new lease of life.
True......I am sure an Older Colonel Blimp type, was trying to hit on me,when I was running across the Esplanade this morning...clearly,he was short-sighted😄
Torn cruciate ligament. Over exerting herself in cross country sprints. What do they say about animals being like their owners? I had to carry her a mile and a half back to the car. the great lump.
Although that was a few month back now and she has had an operation which resolved the problem (quite common in labradors, apparently). She just has to be restrained from trying to do too much on it for a few weeks yet. (hmmm. sounds familiar)
in the meanwhile, Hiro has cherry eye, which is also a congenital rpobelm commin to his breed. Am just waiting for him to be big enough to withstand anaesthetic for him to have an op. I am thinking of paying my income directly to the vets.
