Week 7. Run 2

What a morning! I've been shopping for my 90 year old neighbour and my in-laws. It was horrendous. One in. One out. I can only imagine what it's like in city centres. My stress levels were incredible, and not helped by a chap weaving up and down the lanes, only to stop for some cough sweets - while he was coughing his head off. Are some people born stupid?

I was glad to get home and to decontaminate myself with copious amounts of soap and anything else I could find.

I must admit that I was apprehensive in heading out for a run due to the UK going into lockdown because of Coronavirus. Thankfully the government have allowed people wanting to exercise to have that liberty.

The run was a welcome distraction, but I could have done with completing it earlier this morning. Wow. That was warm. Less layers are most definitely needed. It was good to see a lot of people out walking, and all kept their distance.

This run commenced with Brothers in Arms by Dire Straights. It took around five minutes to settle into my stride and was much more enjoyable than Mondays outing. I even broke two PBs with my fastest mile and furthest distance. Awesome!

Now, I'm chilled out. Running is therapeutic ☺

Brilliant run it does take the stress away. I did a weekly shop yesterday and the only thing I could not buy was flour. After mass buying of toilet rolls the nation appears to be baking! It’s totally mad.

Retry week 7, but slow down ☺

A tip I read, which seems to help for me when I feel lethargic is a spoonful of honey before a run 🐝
