I completed run 2 today and was taken by surprise by the change from R1. This is the first time in the programme this has happened and when I saw it on my mobile screen after starting the session I was psychologically unprepared and really struggled all the way through. I did complete it but, boy, was it tough!
I realise that in the scheme of things, with all the hardship so many are experiencing, my news is insignificant and best wishes to everyone in our shared struggle with the Covid-19 virus.

Great job. You’re calling that run tough... wonder what it’d say about you as you were obviously tougher! This virus may be grabbing the headlines... but what you did today is amazing... each run makes you fitter and healthier, and that’s what we all need to kick this virus’s butt.
It's very much mental. You will be ready for Run 3. Go steadily because it's all about lasting the distance.
Weeks 5 and 6 do not follow the pattern of the rest of the programme and they have different runs for each session...........but it works, so just trust the plan and believe in yourself.........look how far you have come from W1.
Well done. I’m currently at Run 3 of Week 6. I found Week 5 a step change as well but did it and so will you!
Have faith in the programme because it does work!
I don’t think I’ll ever love running and I’m a definite plodder - the difference between me running and walking is more one of facial expression than pace! But I’ve surprised myself.
It’s a mental thing more than physical. I really hate the thought of stopping early and I love the feeling of knowing I’ve done it.
For the first time ever (even when I was fitter) I actually look forward to going out running!
Plus, I know it’s making my heart stronger - that’s all the motivation I need.
