Just received a nice new pair of trail running shoes. Figured that its probably (?) ok to head into the woods and potter slowly and safely along some trails, early morn or late eve. lucky to live near the country and seaside with plenty of quiet routes. Starting to scope some remote trails and have a plan to take it very , very slowly to learn how to do it. Have also bought running harness and lead for canicross beginners, but that will come later.
Still cant believe that couch to 5k has enabled this for me, so grateful for it and support from you guys!

At the moment, solo running and walking is a good thing to be doing. Boris himself, when talking about self isolating if someone in your household has symptoms said it was OK to get out for exercise so long as we do so at a safe distance from others. The BBC interpret this as six feet between us, so even a run with a friend is possible still. So go have fun trying out those trail shoes!!
Thanks UNO, I’m looking forward to it and still cant believe its me doing it! Great support from this forum, just walked a path in my local park woodland I didnt even know was there!
I suspect that you will discover a whole new passion for running once you get out on the trails.
When I first did C25k seven years ago, all my runs were on footpaths, but unfortunately now they are muddy beyond the level in which you can run, so, to my chagrin, I am having to pound the urban streets, but even they are quiet.
