Woodland trail run

Usually walk up to slimming world but as its such a lovely evening I thought I would run there. 2 miles uphill all the way, bit squelchy in places but a very enjoyable run. Think I need to get some trail running shoes now.

The woods are lovely this time of year, birds singing, subshine slanting through the trees highlighting the bluebells. Nice

Well done on running there; I hope they were impressed - I love my 1st pair of new trail shoes, they work great for cycling and will work wonders when I start to walk mountains teehee

Jus 1/2 lb off this week but after losing 1st 2.5lb in April i am very happy with that.  Especially as I have been quite naughty this week. The run back was even nicer. Same birds singing, sunshine still slanting through the trees highlighting the bluebells.......

But downhill all the way lol

Not 'naughty' just 'doing things that don't further my goals'?

I love hearing about running for a 'reason' like this and this is a great one!

Thats an excellent way of putting it. ;)

Most of us have a rebellious streak and will find the idea of being 'naughty' secretly rather attractive. Let's face it the 'naughty but nice' advertising was designed to get us eating more cream cakes...

Super photo, beautiful light, looks lovely. Well done for running uphill, I find it hard work! Downhill return journey an incentive though.

That's a great picture. When spring is doing its thing properly and not pretending to be autumn or winter, it's got to be the ideal time for running. You've inspired me to head out to the wood on Sat for my run. Something different. See if I end up being chased bywild boar. I've heard they can be bad tempered if you cross their path in the mornings!

You've been " naughty " and still lost 1/2lb, its still a loss and heading in the right direction , so its all good :-) xxx

I am very lucky here. The woods has about 5 moles of tracks to run around. There is a canal just down the road to run along as well as the Calder Valley Greenway. Its a beautiful part of the world. God got it right when he made Yorkshire!!

I bet you looked like Legolas sprinting lightly over the bluebells with a determined look in your eye, your long hair flowing in the breeze as you headed out on your quest to the world of slim :-)

or have I confused this with a film about small people and jewellery ? :-)
