Back from 2 weeks on the IC

It was all going too well. If all went to plan today I would be marking one week as a graduate. But the day before W8R3 I tripped, missed my placing and ended up rolling my ankle. I was so upset (I couldn’t believe that I was upset that I couldn’t run !) but my the second week, I was almost getting used to not running and the last 8 weeks were starting to feel like a dream.

So after two weeks of rest, no more excuses, I went out this morning and did W8R3. Ankle is delicate but no real pain. And to my amazement I managed the full 28 minutes. Slower than before but not by much. Felt easier on the head too by taking away some of the expectation that I should be able to do it, I gave myself permission to fail. And I didn’t need it. So I’m feeling really chuffed again!!

Maybe this time next week I will be a graduate?!! 😀

You will graduate and your story will be that you overcame that moment to finish. 3 more runs. 3 runs to smile and remember how far you've come!

Well done Katie, sounds like you're sensible enough 😊 so I'm sure you'll be posting that memorable graduation post pretty soon 💪 enjoy week 9 it's the best 👍
