I found this a little easier this morning and I was going a little quicker too, as when the bell rang and Jo Whiley told me it was half way, I was a little further along than on run 1. ππββοΈ
I felt I was running in solidarity with Jo Whiley and her fellow Radio 2 presenters this morning. They are doing their Dare to Tri triathlon challenge for Sport Relief today. Thinking of them doing their third swim-cycle-runs in three days π really spurred me on when I was starting to get a little tired on the last uphill part of my route. βCome on!β I thought. βYouβre only running 28mins for goodness sake, not a triathlon!β
Then I thought about Nilsam , who put a caring fairy π§πΌββοΈ on my shoulder last week after an off run. I could hear my fairy π§πΌββοΈ remind me that actually C25k is my triathlon and she gave me a pat on my shoulder.
So come on team Radio 2 - Iβve finished my challenge for today but you guys will still be hard at it. Iβm looking forward to watching all the inspiring stories on Sport Relief this evening.
Good thought, amidst so many news chunks of doom, gloom and powerlessness. There are things we can still do and things to support when other people do them. ππ Glad you ticked off W8, Della-dot. Youβre nearly there! ππΌπΆπ΅πΆππΌ
Sounds like you are really enjoying it! Terrific stuff and isnβt it good to have a distraction amongst all this doom gloom and despondency? Well done you!
What a lovely post, thank you, I love the idea of running with a fairy on your shoulder, great positive touch from Nilsen there.
Your post made me think about the idea of running in solidarity with others and how this can be a great way to encourage ourselves and think of helping others. π€

My little fairy π§πΌββοΈ is not quite as vocal as the lovely Enid who natters away in Nilsamβs ear but she keeps me on the straight and narrow!
Thank you so much for the mention, Delly-dot. I feel awful that I didn't see it until today. So glad our caring fairy helped. You write an excellent post and are very inspiring. Well done for your run and hear hear re Sports relief. π€
