Week 5.2#2 - Slow and steady gets the job done

Building back to previous high point of W6.1 with a W5.2 run today. Hard work initially, but I kept it snail like, and soon eased into a steady rhythm.

Messed it up by forgetting how many run segments were in this run, (and I didn't pay attention to Laura at the start), so after the second 8 minutes I was still a long way from home, so I added an extra 5 minutes run to get back. All good.

Stiff knee was totally OK during the run, but starting to feel a bit tight again now. As a fully qualified 10 minute Google doctor I've diagnosed inflammation of my LCL and MCL on my left leg. I'm going to start the knee strengthening exercises downloaded from this site, and also ordered a wobble board, which should be here by Friday. I took an extra day off before this run, to let it settle down, so will repeat if needed.

I'm glad I was able to get back out tonight, and being cautious feels like the best approach. Roll on Friday!

Good that you are being cautious, it's probably better in the long run (Oooh Pun!)
