Those damned mental gremlins reappeared this weekend though.
I have my first organized 'race' at the MK Festival of Running 5K next weekend, and I seriously considered pulling out yesterday.
The Strava profile of the 5k course looks like 2.5k downhill, followed by 2.5k uphill. My gremlins were trying to convince me that I could NOT run 2.5k uphill. I struggled on the long uphill run this weekend, and it was less than 1k...
Thankfully, I have regained my perspective today, and I am going to do it anyway. So what if I need to walk for 30 seconds every now and again? It's a journey right? I am still on the formation laps of my new running life, there is so much to come...
I plan on running Tuesday and Thursday this week, with the 5K race on Sunday...
