Motivation has done a runner!

Hey guys!

So it’s my second time doing C25K. I stopped during Christmas because it was so busy and I really regret it now! I also lost my running buddy and could t bring myself to go for a spell.. I got all the way to week 7 and I’m back to the beginning of week 6 but every single run has been a chore. I have to spend every moment telling myself won’t be long and I can’t go home but it was never like that before... I’m running albeit half heartedly and my motivation has either sprinted the opposite way or it’s at home eating a share bar of dairy milk...

I guess my question is; how do you get your motivation back?

Hope you’re all doing brilliantly 👍🏼

♥️

Ask yourself why you want to do this.

Write down the answers so that you can refer to them whenever you feel lack of motivation.

You only get the results by putting in the effort, but you may be putting in too much.

Try slowing down.

This makes it more achievable and enjoyable.

Try running somewhere beautiful and natural.

Of all the support we can provide, the motivation is the only thing that we cannot give........it has to come from you.

You can do this..........if you really want to.

Another great reply IannodaTruffe! You’re right as always! I’m going to write my reasons down right now! 😌 thank you 😊

Not really sure what to suggest but maybe have a look back at your previous posts and the replies to remind yourself why you started in the first place and how good it made you feel, I really hope you get your motivation back and find that love for running again

Good luck 😊 we're here for you 💪👊

All you need to do is remember why you started this in the first place. Unfit? Overweight or suffering from high blood pressure? Anything else? Are the reasons still here? Nothing's changed much? There. That's your motivation.
