I've done it...

I ran my graduation run yesterday but was too busy basking in the glory to write a post! (Actually, we had a rare sunny day and apart from completing C25K I needed to get some gardening done!).

I had one of my better runs and the weather was perfect. I ran a PB 4.39km so I'm pretty pleased with that. Now looking to consolidate and build up to 5km and aiming for a Park Run towards the end of April.

Well done lourunrun. We started our journey at roughly the same time last year, but I got to week 5 and was suffering severly from sciatica. By the time December came I was in severe pain and have had constant pins and needles in my left leg. I've carried on readingthese amazing stories and am looking forward to starting over again. I'm 3/4 of the way through my physio so watch this space. Congratulations again!

Thanks Maisiecat

I wondered what had happened to you. I have also had problems with sciatica, fortunately it is not too bad and altho' I can feel it most of the time it hasn't stopped me running.

I hope you can get back to it soon.

Congratulations on graduating 👊 lourunrun - I reckon you’ll be Parkrun ready sooner than April.

Maybe ... but I'll see how I go and build up gradually to 5k. It's my 59th birthday at the end of April, so I thought I'd celebrate with a Park Run!

Well, that sounds like a good target and great way to celebrate the upcoming birthday. Best wishes.

Congratulations 🥳🥂 feels great doesn’t it 👍

It sure does. It's taken me a bit longer than I initially hoped due to injury, illness and holidays, but as a committed non-runner I've amazed myself!

Yes, I am a bit of a fair weather runner, so I spot the good days/times to do my runs!

Well done on graduating. With a distance like that in 30 mins you would be able to run 5k any time. I don't think you would need to do much building up to it. It is only 600 meters, and that is only once round the block! You can do it!!
