I was not looking forward to this and fully expected not to be able to do it first time out - and I got a stitch in the second minute, but slowed down and by about ten minutes in I actually began to feel a flicker of enjoyment. Possibly helped because I decided that I couldn't be bothered to try and avoid all the muddy bits and puddles on my route and just ploughed through them. And then it was done, twenty minutes - in December I could barely walk to the bus stop without feeling old. My knees are really aching now though - any advice?
Week 5 completed - can't believe I did R3 firs... - Couch to 5K
Week 5 completed - can't believe I did R3 first time
That’s my next one, just done Wk5 R2 tonight. A bit worried about the next one though😬. Well done you. I repeated week 3, adding extra running to the second round, week 4 seemed like a big jump up, and I didn’t feel ready. Week 4 was fine when I did it. Wk5 run 3 also seems like a big jump. Fingers cross. I felt pretty fresh at the end of tonight’s run.
I repeated the last run of weeks 2 and 3 and I think it helped. I'm in no rush, so I wanted to feel (relatively) confident about going up a level. Plus it was windy those weeks so I'm sure that made runs harder.
