Week 1

I am not a natural runner. I'm 49 and very unfit. Still not managed to give up the fags either.

Tried Week 1 run 1 ages ago outside and was nowhere near. Have been building up slowly in the gym (in between colds/coughs/dodgy hips and popped ribs) and finally managed W1R1 a couple of weeks ago, well chuffed! Did W1R2 a couple of days later then had rib problems again so 10 days no gym or swimming but went yesterday and managed W1R3 so well chuffed.

Well done Shellygall. Snap - I'm also 49, very unfit, arthritic hips & haven't managed to give up the fags yet either! I've just finished wk5r3 so there is hope for us:) I'm hoping c25k will help motivate me into finally quitting as sure it would help immensely with breathing.

Good for you for getting out there! If you're a human being, you are a natural runner, you just have to find her!

Good luck 👍
