Body changes?

I've only just completed my third run of week three and have noticed some small changes to my body already.

My clicky right knee has gone, and my belly seems to be shrinking - or toning.

I took a load of measurements before I started, so it'll be interesting to compare them after the whole nine weeks.

What changes have you noticed?

Well, my knee hasn’t swollen like it did last year and I think it feels stronger. 🤞Um as to measuring or weighing myself, not going there til the end of March before hol. I have been doing some rather er overestimating of the calories needed for a 25 minute run and am a bit rounder than before. 🙀😹

Lol. I wouldn't worry too much about weight. As you get more into the plan, and running in general it should begin to fall off you. My main aim has been to help my breathing.

I don't think my weight has altered any, as my belt is still on the same hole. But then again, I've never been one to constantly weigh myself as I think it can be soul destroying when seeing little progress.

I keep thinking of how far I've already come, and how far I can go - my wife probably hopes the further the better 😂

Haha peachy ☺

I've currently got one of those old men flat bums. Lmao. Hopefully it'll return one day.

I have recently graduated and am enjoying the consolidation runs. Have improved my speed quite a bit already.

As an old guy I had quite a few aches and pains when I started, especially an annoying aching right hip that had been around for quite a while.

All of these have gone now and I come back from my runs feeling invigorated and ready to do more.

It is a nice feeling.

Brilliant - that's where I hope to be ☺

Well you are considerably younger than me so I'm sure it's possible.

Take it easy, don't rush it.

Take an extra day's rest if needed. Keep yourself uninjured and feeling positive. Always warm up.

The program works and the benefits are just great.

The thing I noticed after taking up running after 50 years as a couch potato, is that I'm still alive. People say I look slimmer, and okay the belt is 2 notches tighter (woah there, is that a waist?), and my arthritic knee is in the past, but the objective was to be alive at 70 - ✔
