crunchy knees π

My knees crunch occasionally, it doesn't hurt so I don't worry about it. If there was pain with it then I would! May not be the best way to look at it!!

Popping from your knees is not necessarily symptomatic of anything to worry about, but if you are concerned talk to your GP or physio.

Mine crackle and I have diagnosed arthritis in both knees, but have managed it myself with lots of knee strengthening exercises (leg raises, squats every day) and I don't run on hard pavements. They still crackle but are fine!
My knee crunches and pops quite a lot. Sometimes it gets sort of tight and the pop is a relief. Thatβs the norm for me though. I see a physio on and off which I find reassuring.
Just maybe check itβs not swollen or feels changed: for instance kneeling or squatting on it. Hope all good π

Most pops or crunches are down to a small piece of cartilage becoming dislodged - don't worry. It will go. It's quite normal, but do see a GP if you're overtly worried or in pain.
