I’ve been cloud watching all day and looking for my W8R3 window, off I go to a route along an old railway line I’ve run before. Nice and sheltered for the first 1km then BOOM the side wind hit me and I almost did a Mary Poppins 💨💨💨. Managed to get to the end but today was a tough one. Not sure why I struggled, think I was lacking hydration, went out on a works leaving do last night and had a curry but no alcohol as I had to drive but I think it really affected me.
Nevertheless a run is a run so W8 done and dusted, graduation is in sight, nervous for W9 but excited to get here.

I’m really struggling to judge my pace in the last few runs apatsyf, I’m trying consciously to slow down then I notice I creep back up but I guess that skill will come with more experience. I’m pretty chuffed after 8 weeks of running that I can reach 5k having never run before!
At least you smashed it and graduated!! Planning my week to fit in work, vet trips with sickly greyhounds and graduation week. Hope the weather is kind to me!
Well done! You’re so close to the end now ☺️ The weather is shocking at the moment, so you’re doing so well to keep getting out there and completing each run. Keep up the good work 👍🏼
