Does anyone use Runkeeper?

I’m looking ahead to finishing C25K and thinking about how I can keep myself motivated.

I read ‘Jog On’ by Bella Mackie, in which she recommended Asics Runkeeper as a helpful app.

Does anyone use it? Or use any other app to monitor your progress with running?

Thank you!

I use Strava just the basic edition provides everything I need. Compares routes etc times, mins/mile or km depending on what you want or know.

I use RunKeeper and I love it.

The best bit of functionality in my opinion, is that you can set voice prompts. So as you're running it will give you stats at either specific time or / and distance intervals of your choosing.

I also use Strava and I find both give almost identical stats at the end of the run, but Strava doesnt give me the vocal prompts as I'm running.

I never used the vocals during the program of course as I had the C25K app for that. But I find it to be a great substitute after graduation

Interesting. Might try runkeeper, but honestly, I'm not sure tracking is helping me much at the moment, perhaps later.

I felt a bit lost without that voice in my head.

So to start, I had a prompt after ever 15 minutes. Must be age, but I cant see the time on my Fitbit as I run, so this just gave me a good indication of when I was half way through my run :-)

Having tried a few others, I’ve settled with Map my Run which I really enjoy using.

It has the voice prompts when running which I find quite motivating, you can add a photo for each run you do, it gives weekly reports, stats etc and it’s free (though of course you can upgrade for more features, I just don’t feel the need to).

I use runkeeper, I find the ability to set up runs useful in either time or distance, if I am going for distance I usually set it up as 2 intervals so I know I am halfway and I can just turn around and run back.

Not what you're looking for?
