Just go for it (week 5 run 3)...

...not like me, who wasted the whole morning looking for excuses not to do this and convincing myself that I’m not ready to run continuously for a whole 20 mins. When, finally getting a grip, after reading through many inspiring w5R3 posts on here, I ventured out in the wind and rain trying hard to believe the programme really does work.

How right you all were, I found a comfortable pace and went for it. The time went quickly and I enjoyed the great feeling of achievement throughout the whole run. It is amazing how much you can do in only a few weeks of this plan.

So if you’re anything like me, don’t sit there like me wasting time procrastinating on the verge of going out for this run, believe in yourself and give it your best shot to see what you can do.

Thank you to all the supportive C25K writers out there, your encouraging words really do make a big difference and help inspire 😊

Yey, well done! 🎉 great post 👍

I admire you. I can't run for one minute. I'm contemplating doing this, but think you need the phone app, and I'm still a luddite with a phone that just does phone calls and texts ...

You don't have to download the app, there is a written down version somewhere. The app does help though because it encourages you. Good luck - I hope you start because it is so worthwhile!

I've just had a welcome message that has the written version, so I'll take a look. I'm just not an exercise bod, and am now struggling because for the first time in a long time, I don't have a physical job. But I really don't know as I can face it, but I'll look at the info.

Well done Pepper55 and thank you for yet another W5 R3 success story. (It's my next run once I shake this damned cold off!) I know it's a mental challenge to finish this one and it must be a huge stepping-stone onto the rest of the programme. When I completed R2 just over a week ago I was glad to stop at the end of the runs, but physically didn't need to. Anyway, this is your post, so upwards & onwards it is for you, you are now well on your way. All the best for the next week, please let us know how you find it.
