By the end of week 9 how far are you going?

The reason I ask is I've signed up to a 5k mid March to keep me motivated. Should finish this program the week before 🤞🤞

Only around 10% of graduates get to running 5K in 30 minutes, so don't worry about that, as long as you run 3/30 minute runs on week 9 you will have graduated from C25K.

Haha! Not far! Yet!

Maybe about 4k now if I run for about 35-39 minutes. I don't track much but am beginning to on Strava and I'm not sure it is helping - I am pretty slow and so find it a bit discouraging to be honest to look at the stats!

Not very far. I did W9R1 yesterday and clocked 3.1k, and my pace was better than last week. But I fully expect it to fluctuate at the mo, especially with the ever changing weather!

Yeah...Well done. So motivating....I, on the other hand, am a whimp so I haven't. But go go go! I am a bit slow and it took 40 mins the other week to do 5k. I reckon the atmosphere of the race will push you along and certainly keep you motivated on the programme. 🏃‍♀️👍

Id love to be able to do a 5k in 40 mins. Well done!

This poll of graduates shows what they covered during the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5....

You don't have to be able to run 5k in thirty minutes to take part in a 5k race......many people will walk some of it.

Thanks. I appreciate it's more of running for 30 mins, but with the run coming up it's good to get an idea of what's achievable. 👌

I wish they’d change the name of this programme, it’s a bit of a trick as it obviously assumes everyone runs at a pace to be running 5k in 30mins. Which for most it doesn’t happen.

What I can say, is probably by the end of the programme, even if you aren’t making the 5k. You will probably feel capable of pushing yourself to reach the 5k.

I’ve done this twice now and managed it with an extra 6/7mins of running :)

Everyone’s different but I’m sure you’ll smash the 5k in March! Good luck!

Thanks. Still cant get my head around being exhausted walking up and down the stairs at Christmas to being fit for a 5K. I've been eating better, asthma symptoms have reduced and get a great sleep now...all in 7 weeks of starting?! It's amazing. I've amazed myself
