That was hard! Especially the last 5 minute run. I did complete it though, I was waiting & wishing for Laura to say well done start your 5 minute cool down walk but she said I had another 60 seconds to go, noooo lol 😂 feeling good now!!

Well done.

If any run is hard, you are going too fast.

I did have to slow down a bit to complete it, I didn’t think I was going fast at all, however, I will be more mindful of my speed, thank you.

Well done. I also did w4r1 last night. I'm not going to lie, I struggled and was even overtaken by a walker on my last 5 min run, but I did it. Yay us!

Well done to you too! I guess it’s got to get harder at some point, especially as we have now nearly doubled the amount of running time!

I found this run difficult today too but I think we all need massive pats on the back for doing it! Well done! 👏

Well done to you too!! I just read your post, I see you had trouble with flooding & mud, I think you would have been fine had you not had to keep deviating from your run. Roll on summer!!

Well done, W4 R1 is one of the most difficult ones in C25K apparently (I certainly found it to be my Nemesis last year before I stopped, had a word with myself, and re-started at W1 R1 in January!). I've read it so many time on here and I'm slowly getting it into my thick skull that if you run slowly enough, you can run for long enough, that's the physical side of things sorted. The more difficult thing is the mental side of things. I used to look to see what lay ahead thinking I would be better prepared but all I did was to out-psych myself instead. I'd start a new week thinking "I'll never be able to run for that long", and lo & behold, I'd prove myself right by not being a able to run that long! I am now slowly learning to trust the programme, and to trust that Laura wouldn't ask me to do anything that she didn't think I could manage. I just wait and let her tell me what the plan is for the day when I start out in the morning, and so far (W5 R2) I've managed it (apart from one practice at the beginning of W4!). Good luck with it all JBG, let us know how you get on.

Thank you, I guess that does make sense, thing is, I didn’t think I was going that fast in the first place. I’m going to slow down more for Wednesdays run and see how that feels. I know what you mean about looking to see what is next, I do like to kinda prepare myself mentally but I do trust the program so it’s not a problem, I can’t say I don’t think “jeez I’ll never be able run that” though lol but I know I will and I have every intention of completing the C25k, I may not do it in the 9 weeks but I definitely will do it! 😊
