Day one, thought my breathing would be the problem, no... shin splints, any suggestions ?

Great forgetting started. Just go slow and slower again if needed and try to land as softly as possible so no thud thud. Try to land your feet underneath you so you're not over striding. Good luck 😊

Some people recommend compression socks. I've never tried them. 🤷‍♀️
