W5R3....are you joking?

Waitingatthelights profile image

When Sarah Millican told me I would be running for 20mins I was fuming...I thought it might possibly be for 10mins...and I'd psyched myself up for that. But I did it...admittedly I put System of a Down on spotify I was so angry...but they got me through it. Feeling ok about week 6 now. Never felt this positive about my physical abilities before. It's great!

Welcome to the forum and well done on that milestone run.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Stay nice and slow for the next run..........it catches many out.

Enjoy your journey.

We all have stuff that gets us through, if it's anger for you, who are we to argue. Just make sure it's on a slow burn for the next run. 😉

So, are you admitting that your body was perfectly capable of doing it, but your head wasn't?🤣

Welcome to the gang!

See what you can do if you're in the right frame of mind. Now, remember this run for every future run that you do!

You can do this! You've just proved it to yourself 😁

One of the best runs in the program - you are seeing the results of the previous 5 weeks workouts and it is a great feeling! Watch out for the return to intervals at the beginning of Week 6 ( some find them harder than they expect) - just stay mentally strong. If you have followed the program - you can do this!🙂

It's the best run in the whole program :-) When you finish that one you know for sure you can do this!

See - this program really works. *Everyone* is taken aback by that run, but they overlook that they've already spent as much time running in the earlier runs - they just haven't put it into one block. Trust the program and keep going. You now know you can do this!

Ha ha. I'm starting week 5 on Thursday, I had a sneak peak at this weeks plan and when I saw run 3 I thought holy c**p. It seems a big jump from run 2 to run 3 but I have to believe if everyone else can, I can. 🤞

I never look, I just get ready, put my music on and look as I'm leaving the house...I actually went back into the house, messaged some expletives to my friend about Sarah Millican...my friend said shut up and just go and do it....so I did😁. You will defo be fine, if I can do it..anyone can! 💪
