Ok so I'll be repeating this run again on Monday. I did a full 10 mins followed by a mixture of running and walking for the next 5 mins and then the last 5 mins running.
I found it incredibly tough, but truth be told, I do think I set myself up for failure! I always run in evenings after work, but today I ran in the morning (have today off) before having any food and having little energy. I do think that having the stress of work is what makes me run and makes me enjoy it. Also, running on an empty stomach was a bad idea!
I thought I'd write all that so that I don't discourage anyone else who's about to do this run. I think on Monday I will repeat this run and take it into my normal routine!
I'm sure then I will smash it! πͺ

It may be you set off too fast Sarah, and make sure you hydrate well the day before, really important if you run early morning. This was just a practise run, you will nail it next time... start slow and stay slow ππΌ
I was struggling today on run 2, well done today and thank you for your honesty. Lagochocolate pointed out the importance of the route you choose and you time of day. It's definitely a learning process but I am positive we'll all get there!
