I have done the first run in week 4 and was delighted to be able to run the 16 mins. I problem is the next day my legs are lead and my musle are really tight. Any good idea how to unwind them. Strenches or oils? Any help would be great.

Hi Mouse. I had a similar problem a couple of weeks ago when I wondered if I was suffering with shin splints/sore calves. I put it to the forum who were, as always, a font of all knowledge. A thread of really useful advice poured in, too long to list here, but if you click on my profile and then my posts you will find it mentioned over a couple of posts. My legs are so much more comfortable now, both during and after a run, so the advice works. You will get through this too. Good luck

Heavy legs are symptomatic of poor hydration.

In the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you will find the recommendation to drink 2-3 litre each and every day and also to stretch immediately after every run to pull out contractions and tensions.
