What the hell....

This was me yesterday.

Planned morning run thwarted by gremlins tethering me to my bed!.

I honestly couldn't summon up the effort required, so turned off the alarm and went back to sleep.

And spent the day annoyed!

My husband went to work on nights and I was still thinking that my schedule was shot, I would only get 2 runs in due to work.

Then I got changed and went out and ranπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ.

Hardly planned, it was blowing a gale, but I did it. Take that gremlins πŸ˜‚.

Only problem was after my shower I was still buzzing with energy and couldn't get to sleep πŸ˜ͺ😴

Yes it took the day, and generally that would be a win for them, I don't know how it happened πŸ˜‚

Good for you! One of the things that keeps me going out is that annoying niggle all day if I don't. I also can't turn the adrenaline off if I run in the evening.

My husband always runs in the evening, it doesn't seem to bother him, I suppose it's what you are used to 😬

Thank you, this is my first time running in the evening, usually I am up early and out, but I realise this has given me more flexibility in when I run. I don't know why it's taken me this long!

Well done for defeating those pesky gremlins, especially in gale force conditions.

Thank you, hopefully the weather will calm down soon. I'm pretty sure that's what stopped me getting up in the first place πŸ’¨πŸƒ

Well done Jell! Glad you fought those tiny gremlins off. Persuasive little whatsits... but maybe sometimes they serve a purpose? Perhaps you needed a snooze x

Maybe a snooze was required, it certainly was the day after, I only got 3 hours sleep after that late run😬

Out of interest, how does your body feel when you call it in when it thinks it’s off duty? Do you find it hard to loosen it all up?

Don’t hate yourself for needing sleep though. Sleep is good.

I am quite used to changing shifts at a moments notice, even staying on for a night shift if needed, so this impromptu run wasn't a shock.

I had decided to do quite a lot during the day, so I had a pretty impressive step count (for me) by the time I eventually went to bed. It has played havoc with my sleep though, which was the problem to begin with 😴
