Hamstring

Been a runner for some time. I did the 3 peak's and damaged my knee. Couldn't run past 2.5 miles without agony. Then I tore my hamstring after lifting too heavy! So a very slow return to running. I've gone back to basics by starting c25k. Currently on week 3. Just wondering if anyone else has had similar injuries? 😊

Yup....as it happens, just recently off the IC after a hamstring injury...the only way back is slow and steady, which, as it happens is the mantra here... and the correct exercise for that hamstring...

There are some great links here...

healthunlocked.com/strength...

Ideas for knees there too, in the pinned posts.

Straight after I got off the IC, I was very steady... back up to 10K now though...but slowly...( I have my next HM at the end of March) I am not sure what level your hamstring injury was but no harm in taking it gently...:)

Well done you... keep posting please.. and enjoy!

Thanks for the link I'll check it out. Seems like a hm is a long way off for me but I will do it again. Good luck!
