Graduated in Dec 19, been consolidating and has been hard going. But first Park Run yesterday, 5k in just under 40 mins .... did not manage to run all and probably not at a week 9 standard. Nevertheless still running 3 x times a week and planning to continue Park Run with the aim of all run by end March
Thanks for all positive comments, it has been quite a journey ... added benefit have lost 24llbs ..... not all the running but the exercise has been a major factor. Slow and steady is my motto

Congratulations on completing your first 5k Parkrun in sub 40 minutes, your 5K times will improve as you run more of them, some runners on this forum can run a sub 30 minutes 5K when their first one was +40 minutes. Good luck for your run at the end of March.
Many congratulations on going sub 40... that’s a BIG achievement so soon after getting off the couch, and I hope you celebrated it as so. It’s still very early days in your running... your comfortable pace will gradually improve and you’ll be running 5k non stop pretty soon.
Hi jsh! The joy of parkrun is that you can walk or run or do a mixture of both- and lots of people do! As a very slow runner (avg 49 minutes) I’m very impressed if you’re managing it in less than 40 minutes as a walk/run- looking forward to seeing what you can do in March ! And I know you’ll get there - happy running!
