First park run!

We’ve been talked into our first park run - staying with friends in Manchester. Platt Fields. Both nervous!! We’ve consolidated since week 9 by continuing the 30 mins every other day for 3 weeks. No idea how FAR we’ve been running... no doubt we’ll find out today! Both in our 60s and my partner has never run, before doing the C25K. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Myself and my 9 year old Son are in a car park ready to do a new Parkrun. We are away for the weekend especially to do the Westport Parkrun which is the other side of the country from where we live.

Enjoy

We did it! We couldn’t register it because we couldn’t print out our barcodes. Finished in 34 minutes but then found (acc to my Strava app) that we’d only run 4.3 K. Could we have taken a wrong turning?? Maybe not a bad thing to start slightly less - we’ll be back home next week (Hove Promenade run) so we’ll make sure we register properly and do the full 5K!! Thanks for all good wishes!
