Sorry to hear you're having problems. Don't run if you are in pain. It is frustrating, but if you ignore it you could end up with weeks on the injury couch.
Try doing some yoga stretches or swimming and have a look on the strength and flex forum for some exercises.

Like speedy says, don't run when injured. Going back a week is not the solution here because you're still running and still risking aggravating the injury. Rest it for a few days and if it doesn't get better after that see a doctor (or a sports physio if that seems appropriate).

It'll be fine. A week or even two weeks' rest won't cause you to lose significant fitness. You'll be able to pick up from where you've left off. Whereas if you risk running through the injury you could make it much more serious and be unable to run for months. People talk about the discipline of going out three times a week but part of the discipline of being a runner is also knowing when NOT to run.
