As I near my 70th birthday I decided I needed to do something about my fitness.
I used to swim a lot but haven't been in the pool for a decade.
My youngest son also needed to lose some weight and get fitter so I dragged him into it!
It's gone surprisingly well. The first few runs were pretty difficult but once we got into the swing off it, things have gone along ok. There are always those times you just want to stop and have a breather but we never do.
Up to 25 minutes now and enjoying it - especially the achievement each time we get to the end of the run. Middle of summer here so it is very hot and humid but that seems to help my older body warm up. It's not the breathing so much for me but the pounding on the pavement.
Looking forward to getting to 5K - even though that won't be in 30 minutesn any time soon.
