Just finished the first day of weeks 3. I can safely say the fun starts here. Those 3 minute stints are something else. I'm over the moon to say I managed to complete it and looking forward to either Saturday or Sunday for the next one. It would seem I'm not as unfit as I thought I was as out of all the attempts at this, this is the furthest I have managed, and still no calf injury. That pleases me more than anything else. Of I go now for a shower and food. ( Yes I wrote this before I showered.. smelly me!! lol)

Well done, keep it up!
Make sure you're fully warmed up and ready to run and that should help avoid injury.
If I had a calf that was causing me any concern, I found that giving it a good massage when I got home was a massive help too.
Happy running!

Well done! They were a bit daunting to me too and somehow 5 minutes was not as scary after that. Use Japanese slow running if you find anything aches or yoh feel like you might need to stop, it is amazing how much difference , it is a real saver for impact and helps to build your muscle slower and steadier (wins the race, right!)
It's cool that you were so excited to post about it you had not showered yet!! I think you may have caught the bug!
Well done for getting to the start of w3, I think this is where the programme starts to ramp up a bit. I started C25K last September and just scraped my way to the start of W4 before stopping in December. I've re-started from the beginning now and am due out for W3 R1 tomorrow morning. You're right to feel pleased with yourself as not only have you run for 3 minutes non-stop, you have run for 12 whole minutes! Would you have thought that possible when you started on Week 1? It looks like you're bitten by the bug, that will also be a great help to your motivation. Just remember to take it slow (and then slow down some more) and I think you'll do fine. Please let us know how you're getting on.
