Just done W2R1, noticed the same on W1R3, the first quarter of the run/walk my legs felt heavy and an effort to lift, get over the bit and they seem to get better easier to move, thinking maybe some stretches before the warm up walk may help?

Heavy legs are symptomatic of poor hydration.

As a runner you need to be drinking 2-3 litres of fluid every day, whether running or not, to enable your blood to transport the oxygen required by your muscles.

This is covered in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

I have heard people caution against stretches when muscles are still cold. Somebody will respond with good advice 😊

Quite correct.....I missed that bit......... please read the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... in respect of stretching before a run........they should be dynamic stretches.

The only time I have felt like that is when I've been dehydrated. Mine was alcohol induced from the night before. That might not apply to you, but do make sure you're drinking enough water.
