Walking in woods

I jogged yesterday and found it tough going, I was really slow and out of breath. I think it is because I haven't walked as much as I used to. My partner gave me a lift kindly to places I would normally have walked to. So today I thought I would get back into my stride and have a nice walk in the woods near where I live. I enjoyed it and found it quite relaxing however not as energising as my jogs. I jog/walk really anyway as that feels most comfortable for me. Recently I stopped listening to music whilst exercising so that I could be more aware of the nature around me. I can find music a bit overstimulating and a distraction. I read on one of the posts here that its good to just enjoy and keep going and not be too fixated on personal bests and best times and speeds/distance, for me it takes the joy out of the exercise a bit as I can feel like I am not as fit when I am slower. Hope to keep it up and maybe go out daily either a walk or walk/jog then I am getting fitter and going more frequently rather than putting pressure on myself. Can feel spring in the air which is great.
