Plan was to attack my Nemesis hill Doris (named after inspiration from Mig π) but I wasnβt quite ready as needed to clear my head today so went for a leisurely run around the reservoir. Ended up running into the wind and rain at the end but wasnβt too bad π
First run in my new Hoka running shoes all in all thumbs up but my Brooks still come up tops. Waiting for my Sauconys to be delivered so I can try them too π
Total run for January 19.6 miles towards a 35 mile target π

Doris can wait for another day another run. Don't you think there is something calming about running next to water, my parkrun is partly around water and I love it.
Great you enjoyed running in your new shoes. Have a nice weekendππ
Even when you avoid her and go for a different route, she will still be there, whispering into your ear, "come back, I miss you, I'll treat you better next time, I promise".
Loving my Brooks. I have to say, I did most of C25K in my Sketchers Go Run' and they did me proud. However, I noticed a massive difference when I got my Brooks. Not immediately, but after each run, I had noticeably less muscle ache in my legs.
Looking forward to getting out there today. I just need to rehydrate after last nights indulgence π€£.
NOoooooo... donβt tell me that π« I not like Doris π«
I do know I have to be kind and make friends with her at some point π
Glad your loving your Brooks so far they are my favourite. I have a pair Of Saucony Nomads to try tomorrow and they seem really comfortable but will give the full verdict tomorrow.
Every time we indulge we have to pay the price but hopefully it wonβt be too much for you. Hope Mrs Mig is doing well.
Snowgdss is doing ok. Her foot is healing, but still some way to go before she puts any running shoes on.
I was tempted for Saucony. I worked in a sports shop around 30 years ago and I remember the big fuss when we started selling them. But Brooks were always the staple for runners. As were Hi-tech Silver Shadow π€£.
