Life is difficult to find time and motivation to look after myself, putting on 18 pounds and having low motivation to exercise my life is very stressful. A lot of responsibilities at work and family life making excuses to go to bed for 2 hours instead of doing something I know will improve my mood. Tomorrow I will complete 1 hour of exercise at the gym to then work towards 5k. WATCH THIS SPACE

Take it slow, drink lots of water and stretch LOTS! If you ache then keep moving, don't let yourself stiffen up! You will be fine.

An hour BEFORE doing couch to 5 is a big climb - not sure I could do that! Put your trainers on and go - don’t let your head tell you no, tell it yes! Best of luck to you.

Welcome to the forum.

This guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... is essential reading.

Take care not to overdo it.........build up your exercise gradually or you risk injury.

Enjoy your journey.

Good luck, I've just started too and I'm on Week2, I've found posting on here keeps my motivation up! And the best advice I got was to start slow and steady - hope it goes well.
