Going nowhere

By now I should have graduated in that I was running regularly 3 times a week and on W8R3 before the dreaded lurgy got me. So still feeling rough with little energy but at least ensuring that I get my 10,000 steps in every day. The only day I’ve not succeeded this year (and I know it’s early days) is when the marking couldn’t be postponed any more and I virtually glued myself to the chair in order to get them finished!

Anyway the big fear is that I’ll lose the momentum hence I’m checking in with you lovely lot. So the title for the post is two-fold .... frustration that I’ve stalled for a while and determination to stick around.

I know it’s only a cold and there are people on the IC with far more serious stuff to worry about but the truth is (and I never in a million years thought I would say this) I MISS RUNNING 🏃‍♀️ 😔😂

For those of you just starting out it’s fab reading all your wonderful posts so keep going ... it gets you in the end even if it feels hard work at the time.

Happy running everyone, can’t wait to get back out there with you all 😊

I’ve not been doing so well either. I’m still on W8R2 and have tried to complete it yesterday but just couldn’t keep going after 10 minutes. I tried to run again but the. felt awful, so I settled at fast walking up a hill for 25mins.

I will try again tomorrow night.

It’s really weird as I didn’t feel I’ll when I started. I did sleep for10 he’s straight that night.

I’m just going to keep trying until I finally graduate, as let’s face it there is no real rush as long as we all keep trying.

Get well soon 🙂

Thank you, hope you’re not coming down with anything. Sorry to hear you’re not getting there either. You’re so right it’s not about the time it takes but I worry that I’ll end up not feeling like I can be bothered. I can take heart that I had a while off before because of work etc and got back into it. We’ll get there and the way it’s going probably at the same time 😊

I'm sure you'll get back into it once the cold has cleared. You shouldn't lose fitness until after a week or so I think. Hope you get better soon. ☺

Hangbjn there, it's not the end of the world. Fingers crossed, you'll be able to pick up where you left off. Maybe just go easy on yourself to start with.
