Good morning all you lovely runners...I hope you are all keeping well and running your legs off as and when you can get out there???
As some of you know I’ve been running the consolidation club for September and everyone has been doing so well...I love hearing all about how everyone keeps going, thinking up new routes while cementing all the hard work they’ve done over the last few weeks...but...and I know I will get you graduates behind me when I say this...it’s normal to feel deflated after graduation and feel a bit like ‘what’s next’ and that’s what we’re here for...all of us...we’ve all been at the ‘deflated’ stage at some point or another, whether it’s because running for 30 minutes suddenly feel impossible...or reaching 5k finds us dead in our feet??? But, this is to all new graduates from all us old graduates, this is just part of your new running life...like I said to a new graduate this morning, running is fantastic, it’s not always easy and after the elation of graduation, like a wedding day...the big build up and then boom, down to earth with a bang...and it’s like a marriage, you have to practise and adjust to each other to find the perfect relationship but there will always be ups and downs...just don’t let the ‘downs’ leave you feeling down...take something from a bad run...something that you can work on...and it will make your next run feel so much better...so come on everyone, let’s give a big cheer for our new graduates...we are all amazing xxx

I think that what I liked best when I was consolidating was that I was building the habit of getting out there and running - like "this is me now, this is what I do!" 😊😊😊
Keep on keeping on, you fabulous runners!!!! xxx
Absolutely spot on Mummycav. Just hope I never get divorced 😊
Rings so true, especially after tonight’s run! It’s been a slippery slip since graduating and tonight’s just topped it off! I need to find that love again.
Great words Mummycav - it's a funny old journey and you're right - we pave our own way after graduating. A great time to try out different routes, different running terrain and now we have of course the move to autumn - THE BEST time for outdoor running! Enjoy! 😀🏃🏽♀️🏃🏻
Woooh hooo graduates!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🤗🤗 You’re all amazing!! 💫 🌟 ⭐️
Mummycav is so right! 👌🏽 I have done 2 years continuing on my ‘running adventures’ and it really has helped to see it as an adventure. There’s been so many highs and a few lows, just trying to figure out what works (and what doesn’t work 🥴..for ME 😉!)
That has meant seeing all of the amazing posts and feeling really inspired 😮...🤔.... I go out and see if that suits me too. And... I’ve often gone out and know that it doesn’t quite work for me and that’s ok too! Hey, I was out running, how is that not a win? I’ve done 5 minute runs, 7 minute runs, over 1 hour runs (...not so many of those 😂)! Let’s just say I’m a runner without requirements 🤣🤣. I don’t have any PB time goals or Marathon ambitions (for now...🤷🏽♀️...who knows eh?)!
But you know what? 🤫...That ‘it’s ALL an adventure’ thinking has been my magic to keep on running! 🧚🏽♀️ Sometimes I feel I’m getting pretty good at this 😂, other times I think maybe I’m just not cut out for it 😊, but even after a pause and feeling a bit flat 😕, I have not stopped going back out to see what I can do🤩! And THAT is what makes me able to say, “I AM A RUNNER”! That’s the best feeling in the world! 🙌🏽🤩
“Out there...don’t care” was my mantra during the programme and it still stands today!
Keep on keeping on Runners!! Run for fun and if you ever have to adjust or pause, just trust that you know what’s best for you! “YOU MY VRB ARE A RUNNER”! That’s what we do!! 😉❤️
