First run...... Michael Johnson you were amazing!

Always starting this today but this morning I have done everything possible to avoid stepping out the front door. I’ve cleaned the bathroom, made soup, done 2 loads of washing. Then I lay on the bed and cried (I’m 44) as the moment had come. I felt like a pleb and I looked like one too. But I stepped out outside and reluctantly started the first run. Michael Johnson you were amazing! And Sam Fender’s album kept me going. I loved it! It was a good pace for me. I actually feel like I might be able to do this! Xx

Well done you! I'm 42 and felt exactly the same going out my front door. I felt absolutely knackered after it and had to give up before the last 2 runs as I was so short of breath. I think I ruined it for myself as I ran up a steeper gradient than I really wanted to.

I did still enjoy it though and it has given me confidence too that I might actually be able to do this.

Well done and good luck!

Of course you can do it - I never doubted you! As you've discovered, you've done the hardest part of the whole programme. Now just keep putting one foot in front of the other. And remember, you're doing better than all those still on the couch.

I look forward to congratulating you on your graduation.

Well done for getting out the door Alybobs 😊👏

I procrastinated for soooo long about starting c25k, when I actually started it was almost a relief 😌

I have just completed week 2 - who knew that was possible?! 😳

I bet you didn't look like a pleb - but it made me smile ☺

You've done the hardest part, all power to your feet 👣 now, good luck with R2, you got this 😊 🏃

Oh and you're right, Michael is fabulous 😍

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 That first time out the door is the hardest bit of the whole Plan! You’ve done that, you can do it all.

Do take time to read the pinned post for Newbies by IannodaTruffe. It is full of tips, hints, links, and the accumulated wisdom of multitudes of C25K runners. Have fun and welcome to the forum.
