c25k/3πŸ€ w1 complete - and I buried gremlin 😈 no1

Hooray! I've beaten the gremlin!!

I reached the end of week 1 this morning, which is one run further than my failed restart a few months ago.

Now to beat the next gremlin that sits lurking at W9R1, which is the run I completed just before my foot injury in June. I'm coming to get you gremlin 😈no2!!

Gremlins be damned. I am still laid up with a foot injury acquired just before w9r3. I have done two of the 30 minute/5k runs but can’t call myself a graduate yet. I feel your pain at having to restart, very frustrating. 6 weeks without being able to run is not funny anymore.

In my case the gremlin is called my 9 year old daughter who stamped on my foot. 😟

Oh no! I'm sorry, but your post also made me laugh, but in sympathy! I'm sure she's a very cute little gremlin who feels awful about it!

I do hope you are soon back up and running.

Well done Delly-Dot!!! Take it one run at a time, whenever you find yourself worrying about a future run, remember you can save time by only worrying about it when you are out the door to do it :p Easier said than done I know but a technique I used to give up alcohol. Well done on week 1!

Thank you! Sound advice. I shall take it one run at a time.

My foot injury has left me with a residual bump on the top of my foot, but it is behaving itself so far - hope I haven't just jinxed myself 😟 .

If it starts to bother you could be worth seeing a physio or podiatrist or even GP just to check out what it is.

in reply to Kallyfudge

Initially I thought it was a ganglion cyst, but it became so painful I went to the GP who diagnosed it as extensor tendonitis. I didn't expect it to take so long to clear up. He didn't say anything about the bump remaining so I shall keep an eye on it. Thank you

I have had tendonitis there before, all I can recommend is ICE, ice, compression, elevation.
