So I completed my final run 3 of week one. I feel soooo slow. My pace seems to be getting slower and slower and legs feel heavy. Not sure how wk 2 will go but will give it my best shot. Here’s to next week 🏃🏻‍♀️

Don't worry too much, your body is getting used to new things! Don't overthink it, just have faith that many others have done it before. Oh and drink plenty of fluids 😊

I know I do overthink and compare to many others! Definitely need to up the fluid intake of the non alcoholic type 😂

Don’t worry about the speed of your pace. It’s not surprising that you are feeling it in your legs after run 3.

Slow it down and give yourself recovery time.

Great stuff for doing this! 👍

Thanks I have left two days between each run on this week due to hurting so bad on run 1! I’m aiming for one day rest this time as per plan. I don’t think I can go much slower but I think I will on the 90 second runs. Thanks for your support 😊

Have you watched the lovely Japanese slow running man on YouTube? I found it really helpful 😊

Not to worry. The whole plan is based on building endurance, not speed. Lots of snails & tortoises on here, and we all get there! 🎉👍 Lots of fluids will help with heavy legs, and brisk walking on non-run days helps build stamina while letting muscles repair from impact. You’re doing fine. Keep going! 😊👏🏼

I’m glad to be a part of the snail crew 🐌 lol. I feel that when on the runs people must look and be like how slow!!

Ill keep going not sure how wk 2 will go but don’t know till I try. Thanks for your support 😊

Take up my favourite quote from a card I had long ago: “Don’t worry about what people think. They don’t do it very often.” 😄 Happy running!

Nice one!! Slow is the way to go. It builds stamina and as each run goes by you'll have more miles in the tank and more strength in the legs. One run at a time and you'll see improvements along the way.

Don’t worry about distance or speed. The aim is to be able to run for 30 minutes non stop. Most of us find that distance and speed come gradually.

Thanks that’s very true.

Well done on sticking with it! Are you taking rest days and stretching? I still feel stuff after my first one so wondering how my second will go!

Thank you 😊 Yes I took two days between each as after first one was so achy and hurt food so needed to recover a tad! You will be great just make sure you are rested well before you set off. 👌🏼

It's not how fast or how far, it's the fact that your doing it that counts. You'll see an improvement over time as your muscles develop and stamina increases. Well done 😀

Well done on completing wk1.

Don’t worry about pace at all. You’re doing it, that’s all the matters.

You just need to have a couple of rest days now and go again.

Remember, this isn’t a rigid plan. If you feel that you need an extra rest day at any point, take it!

You’re doing great, just keep doing it no matter how slow

I think I walk quicker than I run but I am going to try to get back to it. I’ve not been out since Christmas Eve so will be repeating week 4 yet again. Hey ho, I’m trying eh?
