Week2run1

Did this one on my own today-it was more challenging and I found that I was getting bored while running (a hurdle I need to get over with exercise in general) and I struggled a bit to keep my breathing going because I kept losing track. I feel much happier having completed though as I was feeling super down before the run and now I’m feeling more even emotionally. I know I need to keep up with the programme-I just need to not lose hope. Good luck to everyone who is giving this a go and want to truly get better. 👍🏼👍🏼

Great work.

Re: keeping going, just keep reminding yourself why you're doing this. It's a great motivator.

Sounds like, for your next run, you maybe just need to slow down a little bit and find something you really enjoy to plug your ears into (favourite music tracks you haven't heard for a long time, podcasts etc, etc).

You're doing great. Keep at it!

Well done! Just completed the same run too. I also struggle with the breathing and followed the advice to slow down today. It did help.

I'm just behind you, planning to finish week 1 today. I've never liked exercise for it's own sake but I'm finding podcasts a better distraction than music because I concentrate more. I also think about the skiing holiday I've booked. It's a lot more enjoyable when you're fit! Maybe soon we'll be able to enjoy the running too!👍
