Getting back to running

So I graduated in October and since then I have been doing 5k-10k 3 times a week, with a 28 minute average for my 5k. That is until I got an injury to my left ankle.

I haven’t ran on it since the injury occurred on the 12th and it feels a lot better now

I’m not sure when or how to start back. My fitness level is good I’m general but it’s my gate that’s the problem I have had analysis done and apparently have shoes to correct my gate but it doesn’t appear to work.

Does anyone have any experience of a proper orthotics doctor?

I guess I’m worried I just injure it again on the first run.

Thanks

Oh poor you, I can imagine how frustrated you must feel with your fantastic achievements under your belt! I don't have experience to share but I would speak to your GP for reassurance or a specialist referral....most importantly don't loose hope, I appreciate this must seem like a major hurdle but I'm sure with time and determination you will get back on track very soon. All the best and good luck :-)
