Hello Jamie1738, you've came to the right place it's the best.

Try to pick 3 days to run and stick to them no matter what.

Just go slow and slower again if needed and remember to drink lots of water per day and not just on run days about 2-3 litres it really helps.

C25k is an amazing plan and really does work you'll get lots of encouragement and support on here good luck 😊😊

You made yourself a promise - go do it! Welcome to C25K and to the forum. Read the pinned post for newbies from Iannoda Truffe; take it slowly (and then slow down!); stay well hydrated all the time, not just on run days - and let us know how you get on! If you read through the posts you’ll see there are loads of people just starting out so you’re not alone and, of course, you’ll find loads of support here in the forum! Off you go!

Step over the mental road block and do it! It’s just 30 mins max, and you’ll be surprised by the sense of achievement you’ll feel when you’ve completed it, honest! 👍😁

Welcome to the gang.

So my advice would be to just get out there and do it. I mean, now. Stop reading this reply, go and get ready and just go! :-)

As has previously been said, pick the days that work best for you, so you can try to maintain a schedule. 1 rest day between each run in the week and 2 rest days between weeks.

A note of caution though. Dont rely on this program for weight loss. If anything, you may even gain a couple of pounds in the first few weeks. But, you will lose inches, so get that tape measure out before you start.

Good luck on your journey. Make sure you start really slow and keep coming back here for support.

Of course, you're not still reading this are you? You're out there running now? :-)

Well done on thinking about doing this at 17. What a positive move you are making. I waited until I was 52 but am glad I did and wish I had started earlier. Just get up and go out first thing if you can or try to schedule a set time so it becomes more of a habit. Together with healthy eating you can make a fantastic start to a new decade. Let us know how you get on and go slow!
